Sanitation Supervisor

Reports to: VP of Operations

Job Summary: The Sanitation Supervisor is a hands-on position that will be responsible for executing sanitation tasks for the company. In addition to assigned sanitation tasks, this individual will be responsible for the coordination and management of all sanitation personnel, both indoors and outdoors, in all areas of the facility. The Supervisor will be responsible for organizing, training, executing, and coordination on sanitation procedures as well as maintaining records of sanitation activities, and inventory of sanitation related materials. This position will be responsible for completing all assigned sanitation tasks throughout the facility while working with minimal supervision with the expectation that all sanitation tasks will be documented and reported to the Quality Assurance Team.

Essential Functions: 

  • Executing all assigned sanitation tasks in the facility.

  • Assist and direct in the training and staffing of sanitation personnel according to company requirements.

  • Must be detail oriented and able to complete all assigned tasks as well as supervising and monitoring additional sanitation personnel.

  • Supervise work related to daily schedule in line with sanitation plan and inspect all completed tasks and report on these tasks on a daily basis. 

  • Ensures that all sanitation SOP’s are being completed correctly.

  • Makes adjustments and revisions to sanitation schedule as required to ensure all standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the facility.

  • Works with quality personnel to ensure that sanitation activities are meeting required objectives.

  • Inventory and request janitorial supplies as needed.

  • Responsible for maintenance of facility appearance. 

  • Follow and enforce company policies, safety regulations, and work instructions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate work instructions and train production employees on how to complete these tasks safely and effectively.

  • 2 -3 years of prior experience in sanitation or related field is required. Training will be considered in lieu of experience on a case by case basis 

  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs.

  • Fork lift operator certification preferred.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
